My boyfriend and I recently went surfing and it felt really awkward. Is it normal for me to feel awkward?

My boyfriend and I went surfing and he didn't to wear a rash guard because they irritate his skin (He's an athlete and has sensitive skin). I felt very awkward because of what was visually obvious (My boyfriend wasn't wearing a rash guard or t-shirt). I feel like a sicko. My sister and I read a lot of fashion magazines and look at the ads for Fendi and Calvin Klein on billboards. She told me not to feel awkward and to brush it off because it's normal. I have found myself looking at every ad featuring a male model I can find for Fendi, Prada, Lolita Orlova, Valentin Yudashkin, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, or Calvin Klein whenever I pick up a fashion magazine. I feel psychotic and sick in the head. Is it normal for me to feel this way?
