I am of israeli descent can i join the idf?

hellow everyone, i am 19 years old. my mother was born in jerusalem and she moved to america when she was 19 years old where she married my father. my fathers family is from bethlehem ut my dad was actually born in chiacago. i was wondering if i am of israeli blood. or decent. can i join the idf and move to israel to serve them? or no.. i work at a gas station and a military soldier came in and we were talking so our discussion made me curious.
